This was quite a thread, about anti-virals and JoH regimen. I really hadn't grasped how long this forum has been active.

Anyway, can someone briefly describe Stephen and Irelandman? They featured prominently in that marathon thread. Do they come around anymore?

    Pupper,
Read the refresher sticky by the administrator at the top of this page. It will explain why those two members don’t post here anymore.

This forum was active long before that. It was active long before i showed up in 2004. Lots of good info. Lots of departed members for various reasons.

I had a VNS in 1994. If I'm remembering correctly, I found this forum not too long after that. So, yeah, it's been around for along time.

I first found this site when I was first diagnosed around 98. . It scared the crap out of me so I decided to leave it because I did not want to believe that I had mm as badly as some members and I never would! Fast forward to 2005 and I desperately needed help fast forward again to 2012 when I decided the best route for me was a laby. Still here.

I came in 2009. My first clue came from a wonderful poster here that wheat might be a problem. That led to researching and treating leaky gut. That stopped the vertigo for the most part, but then I moved one because whatever I had wasn't due to the leaky gut (but curing the leaky gut DID stop the vertigo).

After several years of bouncing between feeling link, and the occasional period where I felt well, I found that my issues were a combination of a systemic yeast infection and stealth dental infections. The yeast invaded my bloodstream when I had leaky gut, but even after I cured the leaky gut, I never got rid of the systemic yeast.

After seeing some holistic practitoiners, i've finally got a handle on my issues. I still have a ways to go to complete detox and to ensure I've gotten rid of the dental infections, but I can pretty well say that stealth dental infections are very likely to be behind MD. It make take two or more systemic issues to trigger MD, but dental is very likely to be part of the problem (for some people in some cases). I'll be posting more about this in my "Tidings of Joy" thread.

So, I've not spent much time here in recent years because I had nothing significant to add. I'd address one issue and another would pop up like whack-a-mole.

But I'm now more confident in what I've learned, and I've returned to share what I've learned. Thanks to the poster who PM'd me last night to ask about nystatin. That, plus the fact that only recently gotten a handle on my issues, reminded me it was time to come back and share.
