Has anyone tried intermittent fasting (ala Dr. Jason Fung) as a therapeutic way to heal Meniere's? I know that for reversing diabetes it is very effective. Just wondered if anyone here regularly fasts with good results.

    Thank you.

My mother fasts to save her friends and family from disease. It hasn't worked.

I have been curious about fasting as well. I have been pregnant or nursing for the last few years so I haven't tried it. I would love to hear about your results, TRY IT!

I've tried it but it makes me sick to fast. I get really dizzy and nauseous. But i know it works for some people!

When I'm really hungry I get lightheaded--that sounds quite unpleasant. My gut says I would be likely to get dizzy and have a vertigo episode. Also, it seems to me that fasting is a stress on the body, and stress is what gets the herpes virus going. So my guess is that it would makes MM worse. I would have to be quite convinced it would be helpful to try it.

Doubtful but drinking more water has some studies behind it.

Fasting can be effective if you've got an unhealthy gut. By cutting out carbs/sugars, you starve the yeast. Fasting is the ultimate low carb diet, and it can help you get toxins out of your system faster.
