I was recently prescribed Betahistine which is not available in the US unless you go to a compound pharmacy which I did at first but was charged $90 for 90 pills. I'm currently looking for a cheaper option. Thinking about an online Canadian pharmacy. For those of you on Betahistine, where do you recommend getting it and how much does it cost?

If you go to a post in the living room from January 2018, there is a thread about Betahistine. If you follow Karina the Cyclists she notes that when she used serc from Canada and Peru it gave her headaches.

I get my betahistine from a place in Massachusetts. It is expensive, $200 for three month supply. I have only recently started it.

I use a compounding pharmacy here in Michigan and it’s about $60 shipped to me. I take 8mg 4 times a day. I really can’t even tell if it helps or not. I guess I would have to discontinue it to see if I get worse.

Those are decent prices. I pay $125 for a month supply. I have reduced the amount I take and it stretches further but I need to find a different pharmacy.

In other countries Betahistine comes in a pill (not compouded). The pill gave me terrible headaches (My phamacist told me that pills have some other stuff that can contribute to my headches). I take the compounded capsule. The cost goes up by mg. I take 16 mg 4x daily.
I suggest finding a local compounding pharmacy and talking to the pharmacist. Tell him your story and see if he can give you a discount. My pharmacist was very understanding and is helping me out a lot.
I also suggest that you give the pills a try. i used to get them from Quality Prescription in Canada. They were very cheap. I got a like a 3 month supply for $60 if I recall well. Get a 1 month supply and see how you do.

I am currently taking 16mg 3x daily. I have a local compounding pharmacy that charges about $74 for a month's supply.

I use Quality Prescription Drugs in Canada. Last order was 300 16mg tablets of generic Betahistine for $92 shipped. At 3 pills per day that's a 100 day supply for me. 300 is the largest amount they will sell me at one time.

Since it's not in the U.S. I have to send them a check every time or allow them to deduct from my checking account. I don't like the second option too much, and they want me to mail the prescription to them as well, so I just include it with a check in the mail. It's all a pain but works if you start the process a month before you need the shipment.

There might be other Canadian pharmacies that are even cheaper - this was the lowest price I found when shopping around about a year ago.

Same here. Approx $60 for about a month's supply. I was prescribed 3 tablets a day but I only take 2 to try to keep costs down. I have been taking it for approx 3 months and haven't noticed any difference at all in symptoms.

The compounding pharmacy in Michigan is Health Dimensions, inc. Farmington Hills, MI 800-836-2303

Find a small independent pharmacy. They will compound it for you.
