First post from me, recently diagnosed with our group favorite condition. Doc put me on the usual routine, low salt, diuretics, etc after all the symptoms (vertigo, 20 points loss in low range hearing in right ear, pressure that won't go away). Immediately began internet data search on Meniere's. Like everything else, millions of articles out there, including one or two supposedly good results using this oil. Using the search function of our forum here, found a couple entries about DiVertigo essential oil for the tinnitus, vertigo, etc associated with this fun disease, but the last posting was back in 2016. Finding this stuff locally was a challenge, finally found at Kroger near the pharmacy. Have used it for a few days, and it actually seems to help a bit with the pressure sensation and, so far, keeping the vertigo under control.
Anyone else been using this stuff lately?

A product like this might help alleviate the symptoms of vertigo but it is going to do nothing to prevent attacks. Also, I was looking at the ingredients and it shows that it only contains essential oils. You should never use essential oils neat on your skin. They should always be mixed with a carrier oil of some sort (e.g. almond, sunflower, etc.), otherwise it can irritate your skin. There is also a question of purity when using essential oils.

You're correct about using concentrated level essential oils directly on the skin. For many people that spells irritation and reaction in a negative way. Quality, purity, strength of concentration all a variable factor between brands, distillation methods, etc. However, this product is likely to already be in a diluted state with a carrier oil of some type (not exactly specified on the label) and I've been using it 2 or 3 times a day behind both ears with no irritation or ill effects so far. Tomorrow my ears may fall off (that might help, in any case), but so far, so good.

I've found that rubbing banana peels behind the ears works just as well.

Do you realize how many banana peels I’ve wasted up until now?
