I handnt seen this. But it doesn’t surprise me with the likelihood of scar tissue playing a role in blocking the medication from reaching the inner ear. I think this med would work in early patients, but that’s about it.
Maybe we could start a go fund me page where we give the money to research our take out some advertisements for awareness or give the money to research. How did all the other races, walks, etc get started? One persons idea usually. I applaud you and support you in your effort Nyynth. I know people on here before have had bracelets,t shirts,magnets.etc. Awareness for others is probably key.
I didn't see that either. But it looks like the same study they did years ago with the steroid in the ear.The one my doc said didn't work then and didn't know why they were doing it again. i didn't qualify for the study.
Adverts are an idea I hadn’t considered. Problem with the go fund me is I don’t know where we would direct funding. We should take this to the other thread before it’s buried from inactivity
Lots of great input from the group! In ref to spurring on the uber slow FDA, (WE MUST MAKE COLLECTIVE NOISE) I'd like to mention that the easiest, most effective and hassle-free way of contacting the FDA is via Twitter or Facebook. They have the added benefit of others seeing your message and that in itself usually generates more reinforcements!
