I am new here so hello to everyone! I have not been officially diagnosed but it looks like I have Meniers. I have had issues with motion sickness and balance all my life. I see that Benadryl is often one of the treatments. I also have Restless Legs Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I can’t t take Benadryl or any dopamine antagonist as they increase my symptoms of RLS. I see an otoneurologist next week. I ended up in the ER and forgot to ask the doctor about this.. Anyone have this problem or know any substitute for Benadryl? Thanks. .
Can you take meclizine? (it's the less-drowsy dramamine). Also, see my post on CBD oil. If it's legal where you live, that may help.
Ga, i urge you to get a full workup and diagnosis. There are many things that have similar symptoms to Menieres but are not and require different treatment. Some are serious and you want to eliminate them first. If you do have Menieres, we will have many suggestions.
I have fibromyalgia and restless leg also but benadryl doesnt cause me any added problems. It helps with my itchy from a skin disorder. As long as you limit it to one each time you take it it doesnt affect the thyroid either, if you have that. Unless you are looking to take it constantly multiple times a day and 2 at a time. My Dr said one every once in awhile was fine and i havent noticed any problems from it
