Found this study and found it interesting. I just weened myself off of lisinopril last fall which coincided with the worst fullness and sound sensitivity I've ever experienced. I wonder if it was just a coincidence or if it was related to me no longer being on it.. Anyone else see adverse affects with being on or getting off of lisinopril? Will you have Meniere's disease with Lisinopril - from FDA reports - eHealthMe
That is interesting. I've had high blood pressure as long as i can remember. All through the military it was high lighted in my records. I've used every type of blood pressure meds including lisinopril throughout the years as my insurance changed. I gave it all up a couple years ago because no matter how much i took my levels are still high so I was sick of the co-pays. Stopping it didn't help any of my symptoms either. The docs have me on a duretic now which lowers blood pressure as well. Not sure if they are tied together but it would suck if the meds the doctors are giving people give them Menieres. I would rather live a happy life and drop dead of a heart attack later on then live with this crap long term.
Although I take Lisinopril now, I had Meniere's diagnosed several years prior. You might also note that, at the bottom of the study (your link) they show the number of cases presented, which was .01% of the total number of people who reported to have side effects when taking Lisinopril.
