My Tinnitus is pulsatile, so I can hear exactly what my heart is doing all the time. Pitch is quite high. Can I ask how your getting on with the Anti Virals?

Mine is low like on a plane and constant, but volumes can change throughout the day. How long have you had your symptoms David?

Hi Irishstu, I have had MD now for 3 years. I was actuallly doing quite well with upper chiro adjustments, it dropped my tinnitus and I got a chunk of hearing back. Had an accident in Nov 2017 and hit my head hard on the ground. BAM instantly got my tinnitus back and it developed into Pulsatile tinnitus, not been able to improve it since then.

It’s been a tough few weeks-definitely worsening, all symptoms plus dizzy more than ever. I feel decent the last 2 days, but that is not unusual for me to get a decent day or few. I’m going to continue the 3000 valtrex.

Do you feel your tinnitus? I never just have a sound, it always feels like something is happening to my ear and head.

Dnrpn. Sometimes when i have loud tinnitus it feels like my head in vibrating or buzzing!! I know ita not (at least i dont think so:)) but thats certainly what it feels like.

David, sorry to hear your came back after making so much progress. I am also going to try the upper chiro adjustments to see if they work. Did you go to a regular or specialist chiro for that?

I went to a chiro that had specialist training in upper chiro adjustments ( Originally went to see a NUCCA specialist in London)

JonBubo, could you please give me more information on the above 3 supplements.
Doses and where to buy. Are they long term supplements?
I’m on 5 1/2 months of aclayvor with about 75% improvement. I have high pitched tinnitus most of the last month. All my other symptoms are gone. Any info is appreciated.
    Thanks Emily

Sure. Look for an olive leaf extract with at least 18% oleourprin strength i use olivus. You can do monolaurin (I use inspired nutrition pellets) oregano oil caps with at least 60% caravacol (I use wellness resources). Do just ONE to start. It gets too complicated to do 2-3 at a time. Start with a low dose. 1 pill or half a scoop of pellets or less of need be. Adjust downward if you get die off at that level. Die off is just the toxins from the pathogens(viruses, candida etc) dumping into the body. It just needs to be managed. Which ever you do first start low...wait about 4-5 days and then raise dosage. This I call climbing the hill of viral load. Everyone has a different viral.load. some get flu like with just a little. You essentially raise dosage...and hold. Dont stop. If u have to lower a but ok. You keep raising the dosage to bring down the hill of viral load. Once you are at an max dose for a few weeks and you dont get die off...go back to a small maintenance dose. I would do lysine 3 grams a day with a good 1000mg or 1 gram piil size and 2-3 grams if u can if vitamin c. I did this and then decieednqgywr about a month of getting down the hill to try another while in maintenance dose of the first one believ it or not the die off started all over again. These are all very different broad spectrum substances that hit the pathogens more importantly the viruses from different angles. Good for long run to do more than one duebtonresistance issues. Your reaction to say monolaurin vs ice leaf may depend not only on viralnlaod but which type of viruses you have. If EBV monoalruin might give you more die off..if hsv is high in you oregano oil might.

I agree with firing any Dr that says anti Virals are dangerous. I am just about to start on Lysine and Olive leaf extrac then following on with others. I will report how I get on with them.

Thanks for comment on mylan...., I did get a prescription for valacyclovir, which I didn't think much of, so don't take and it is from mylan. From the beginning I had asked for the brand name but my insurance company won't cover. I then went and asked CVS pharmacy if they could give me something other than Mylan, but they said no. So not sure if there is another avenue for me to get effective anti-virals. How were you able to stop getting the Mylan generics? How did you realize they were duds and not just that anti-virals weren' t right for you ? Bonnie

Bonnie, I got lucky and my insurance carrier changed from CVS to Savon.

CVS did not carry NorthStar. They were cooperative enough and sent me another brand - the name escapes me now - but after a month or so of no improvement I was getting really disheartened - and that's when my carrier changed and Savon became my pharmacy.

For me, I started with NorthStar just from the luck of the draw. CVS, at the time, carried NorthStar. When time came to refill my prescription I got the Mylan. I didn't think anything of it but within a few weeks I was feeling bad again. On this forum, I read about issues with some generics. When I googled Mylan there was a lot of press at the time from people with genital herpes who were furious about Mylan not working. That was enough for me. I contacted CVS they gave me another brand - I believe it begins with a "C" - but no improvement.

My doctor re-wrote the prescription specifying that it must be NorthStar. CVS simply did not fill the prescription since they no longer have a contract with NorthStar. Luckily my insurace changed, Savon became my pharmacy and they contract with NorthStar. That was 2 years ago now and I have not had any issues getting the NorthStar brand since. I'm worried that if/when Savon stops carrying NorthStar I'll be screwed again. Although my insurance is better now so I believe I can get Valtrex if that happens.

I am now also on B5/B6 regimen and will probably look into the Olive Leaf Extract/MonoLaurin combination currently on one of the threads on this site. If the A/Vs stop getting prescribed I want to make sure I have something else to try.

    Best of luck to you.

Aural fullness? That's one of the symptoms though I don't really notice it much myself.

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately I don't think my insurance is going to change from CVS/Caremark any time soon. I had my primary doctor write out the prescription for the name brand and because they want to force you to take generic, the cost was something like $550 for one month...so ended up accepting the generic. If I get more and more desperate may have to just go for broke. Until then will up the lysine. Again thanks. Best to you. Bonnie

I think I know what you mean and maybe it's the pulsatile bit previously mentioned.
