hello all. I have been a member since 2015, I started av and have really enjoyed being a part of the forum. I haven’t had many problems since 2015, here and there some dizziness lasting a week or so then back to normal. Today I had a spinning attack with vomiting. Here are my questions: 1- I take Claritin every day for over a year. I stopped about 3 weeks ago. 2- I stopped bc I started taking Bonine everyday (for something unrelated to mm). I thought they were the same thing? But alas, they are not. I am now taking Claritin again. Does anyone want to weigh in on would #1 or #2 produce such a violent setback??? I haven’t had a doozy in 4 years. I am on and stay on hugest dose AV (Famvir). Any long time av ppl ever get the full spins again? Thanks for yalls patience and input. It feels lonely watching the carpet spin hanging your head in a puke bucket.
It sure does feel lonely! I wish I had advice but I don’t know anything about AV or allergies. Just wanted to give a virtual hug!!
I do not know the answer to your question. I had a huge attack (cochlear hydrops, total deafness for 12 hours) from zyrtec after taking it several days and thinking it was helping. I dont know why but have never taken it since, needless to say. What did help me was allergy testing and shots based on the testing. It takes a long time but as they say the time passes anyway. I think allergy treatment takes a load off the immune system. Good luck.
