    Keep snakes. Lose spiders.

Snakes are scarier. But when do you encounter one? Like, almost never.

Don't know about you, but I'm always walking through spider webs. They cling to my freaking face. Can't get them offa me! Screw spiders. Snakes seem sweet by comparison.

There's nothing quite like the sensation of accidentally ploughing your face directly through a thick, gluey, blanketing spider's orb web at night.

The additional hostility you feel towards your own hands, too—as though they belong to a belligerent other—due to the instinctual response that finds you rapidly slapping your own face in an attempt to quickly remove it.

Far East Flung Flu. Infected kids in Beijing pack their flu spittle into little mudballs and with ninja precision fling it into your American mouth. You die excruciating death in less than a week.

I like snakes. Spiders scare me, especially really large ones. I used to hike in the Angeles National Forest in my younger days, and saw snakes quite often. I've seen a few snakes in my yard where I live and once found a small gopher snake in my garage.

    Re: flung.
Not a drop one add one... but a prim and proper friend once gave me the surprising advice to go for it with bad guys: “Better to fling and lose, than to never have flung at all.”
