I had my hearing tested yesterday. Good news and bad news. The good news is that the right ear hasn't lost any more hearing since last year and speech discrimination is still very good. Still considered a moderate hearing loss. The bad news is that the hearing in the left ear has become much worse, with not much speech discrimination left. This is the ear which has been so troublesome in the last couple of years. Of course I wish none of this had ever happened, but if it had to happen at least it was late rather than early in life.
Your description pretty much mirrors my own. My right ear has had issues since I was a kid. My left ear was perfect before Menieres. Now all I have remaining is that right ear. You really learn to appreciate what you have remaining.
