With the onset of the low front, everything is visiting me: pressure, dizziness, nausea, visual disturbances. They're all here, but here in a mild form. I can SO feel the pressure behind each ear. Ears feel like they are full of cotton. Why can't there be a valid cure or treatment for this - especially the tinnitus?? SO tired of going to specialists and their only comment - "nothing we can do"..... My original ENT has retired, but gave me Valium to take with onset of debilitating symptoms. It does work, as I just sleep off the event. Also take diuretics daily.
I feel the same way the pressure fell out here in Chicago everything is going haywire right now in my head.
For those of you who experience worsening symptoms with weather changes - Through the years during onset of my symptoms, progressing to the worst, then several years of control of most symptoms, I never noticed the bad days had anything to do with weather. That's not the case now!! Almost a year of struggling almost daily again. And now, weather is added to the mix!! I started noticing this a couple months ago. The past two days we have experienced extreme barometric lows with a big storm. The pressure in my head & ear is horrible, along with ear and head pain, neck pain, elevated tinnitus, very uneasy motion feelings, etc. My question is, does the inner ear eventually settle down, or "get use to" to low pressure? Or will this continue steadily all winter? We are expected to have a stormy winter....
I had little bit of a problem a couple of days ago when the temperature changed drastically and the barometric pressure changed. Just kind of an off feeling and the hearing in the worse ear was worse than usual and the ear felt like it had cotton in it. I felt better once the rain started, have been OK so far, since.
I've gone a while with no problems then the tinnitus started turning its self back up along with the fluid build up in my left ear. I'm in the Carolinas and we have had a warm to change with storms and im really thinking that it's weather related.
