So far so good. Just waiting on the yea or nay.

  11. If it’s doctor approved FMLA they have to approve it! Hoping it gets passed quickly for you.

  12. Jane Eyre~Charlotte Brontë

My take on this book: Jane needs to buck up, Rochester got shafted. Poor guy. I have a feeling I’m in the minority with this viewpoint, but poor Rochester was just trying to do the right thing, and as we know, the right thing is usually the most difficult. I actually admire the fact that he had the guts to just be a miserable jerk: He didn’t fake the attitude.

“The Art of Work” by Jeff Goins for nonfiction.

“Driving over Lemons: An Optimist in Andalucia”. Also nonfiction but it feels like a novel.

I haven't done any reading in a while. I generally do my reading while I do my cardio at the gym, but I haven't been able to go to the gym in a while. I like true crime, memoirs, biographies, that kind of thing. Generally not much of a fan of fiction.

    Doing Harm by Maya Dusenbery

Healthcare in America is sexist. This book explains why, and provides data to back this assertion. While the book is geared towards America/American healthcare system, much is the same for the way women are treated around the world.

Just finished “The Art of Work.”

Makes me feel reassured that my crazy life is not a mistake, that strands of my vocation are woven into and from all my experiences, that Ultimately it will all make sense, that the shitty times are not wasted.
