Two questions: 1) Which side do you sleep on, more specifically, which ear is down? Obviously, if you sleep on your left or right side, that ear will be down. If you sleep on your back, does your head tend to one side or the other? If you sleep on your stomach, which of your ears is usually next to the pillow? 2) Which ear has the tinnitus/hearing loss? Left, right, or bilateral? (I see this question was asked in 2014, but I'm asking again) Which side do you sleep on?
I sleep on my right side and it is my left ear that is bad. I've slept on my right side for as long as I can remember.
No tengo un lado fijo, a veces a la izquierda a veces a la derecha. Lo menos común es que me duerma boca arriba.
Does it matter? Sometimes if I really need quite I sleep left ear (bad ear) up. That way I'll hear nothing except tinnitus.
Sorry! I wanted to write: I don't have a unique side, sometimes left sometimes right. The least common is that I fall asleep on my back.
lol - me too. I was asking because if a person has chronic dental/sinus problems, and the biofilms migrate down the blood vessels, that they might naturally migrate faster on the down side as it gets an assist from gravity. Looks like the idea is already dead in the water, but we'll see what people say. I figured left would go to left, right to right, and bilateral people would be those who can't make up minds
Bilateral and with tinnitus 24/7 with many different sounds. I guess I turn when I awaken and then go back to sleep.
I'm bilateral. On multiple occasions my fiancée has described my sleeping positions as postures indicative of having fallen from a great hight. Hence the side on which I sleep is, apparently, dictated neither by preference or choice, but rather wind direction, unsteady aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, & whatever side I happen to randomly be upon impact.
Both sides - switching back and forth during the night - but probably mostly on my right side. IF I'm experiencing an episode when I go to bed, I sleep on whichever side doesn't induce spinning. Bummer to then wake up feeling crappy as a result of having rolled over and (tried to) sleep on the other side. Such fun...this menieres.
