Hi All - I'm new to this forum, but am hoping someone has been in a similar situation. I was diagnosed with MD in my early 20's, and after years of tests/doctors and the like, we were able to sort out that I was triggered by my allergies. We figured out the right regimen of allergy meds, and I started using the Meniett Device, and saw immediate success. For about 12 years things were under control; went from many severe episodes/attacks a year, to maybe 1-2 minor ones. Well in the last year, things have gotten progressively worse. First we realized that the device itself wasn't functioning well, but after discussing this with the medical supplier, it turns out the company that was making them sold it to a Polish-based company who took over the production, and changed things a bit (learned this because they told me the device I had couldn't be fixed, as they didn't work with the same parts any longer, and I just had to buy a new one). Now, this device has had such a positive impact on my quality of life for so long, that I thought it was worth the price - its not cheap, and my insurance still doesn't cover it, but I've seen first hand how effective it can be.

That said, this past year I've had many more severe episodes than I have in year's past. And I'm just wondering if anyone else using the same device has noticed any differences in the effectiveness of this form of treatment, since the device changed production hands. Maybe I'm just getting worse, but I find it strange that I didn't have anywhere near the amount of problems I've had since getting the new device.

Any insight anyone can lend would be much appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Sarah

Never heard of the device, school us please.
I just looked at the website. Is this for real?
    Are you in the US?
I wonder if my Dr. has even heard of this.

There was a time, several years back, when several members of this forum used that device.

I have not tried it, but when I started looking for solutions to my problem I ruled it out because I saw several articles and clinical trials that said it was placebo. But since each Meniere is unique, I would not be surprised if it helped only a small percentage of patients with a specific type of Meniere and they said that it does not work because it did not help other patients.
