I have had CH for a long time, more than a decade. I have had some spatial unsteadiness but never dizziness or vertigo. The last couple nights i rolled over in bed and got dizzy. If i didnt roll over, i didnt get dizzy. Today i just got out of a chair and felt it. Of course initially I thought crap, Meneires is here after all these years and cursed myself for eating salty pizza but then I also thougt, no, isnt this the hallmark of BPPV?

Are there any typical precipitating events for BPPV? Besides getting older? I have been riding a bike the last few days. Wondering if that might be knocking my spine about a little.

Has anyone had any effects from lisinopril which contributed to menieres?

    thanks

Hi June. Sorry to hear of this issue. I don't know what CH stands for. Getting up from a chair can cause unsteadiness if your blood pressure is a bit low. Have you checked your blood pressure? Just wondering if the lisinopril lowered your pressure too much.

I’ve taken 12.5 mg lisinopril for years, never noticed any difference with my Menieres. Notice I said “my”, I own this thing ... lol. I don’t think it cares if you take lisinopril or not. It just rears its ugly head when it sees fit. I’ve had BVVP a couple of times at night turning over. Never really thought it was a connection to CH. I’ve been quiet about the JOH regiment but I started it Dec 25 2019 after having an attack Christmas Eve. Haven’t had a vertigo attack since and was having 2 to 3 a month for a year prior to that and I mean those can’t walk, puke in a bucket for 3 or 4 hour attacks. Still have the tinnitus, ear fullness and deaf in my right ear. I can live with those, but those vertigo attacks you never get use to. Best of luck....

    Thanks.
CH cochlear hydrops, everything but the vertigo. I did check my bp and it is not at all low, in the 130s over 79 as usual. Thanks.

Thanks Rich. My lisinopril dose is very low. Probably coincidence. I am thinking I have been playing fast and loose with the salt and caffeine and maybe that is it. Glad to hear you have managed to lose the vertigo with JOH. That is wonderful.
