I am 78 years old & trying to take care of myself . I am bilateral & lost a lot of hearing.
One of the worst thing I'm experiencing is having to stop driving. I can't tolerate riding in a bus or van which is mostly what I have access to. I would be to sick to get off at my stop. It's hard enough to ride in front seat of vehicle without being sick much less in back of bus or back seat of car.

Does anyone know if taxi's or uber will let a passenger sit in front seat? I don't want to become the old person that people won't take our call because they don't want to be asked to do something for them. Thanks for your help.

In my country, although it is not allowed, exceptions are always made with the elderly to adapt to their needs. You lose nothing by asking and explaining your illness.
