    Hello,

I first started having some issues with my left ear about ten years ago (early twenties). At that time, it was only rarely tinnitus that popped up every 6 to 18 months, would last a few days, then disappear. During the tinnitus flare ups, my hearing is slightly impacted on my left ear as well, but not bad enough that I can't talk on the phone with my left ear for example, but noticeably impacted compared to my right ear.

Fast forward to last year, the tinnitus once again presented itself in my left ear, lasted a day or two, then as it was calming down I had a bout of minor dizziness, which lasted a few hours or so. I didn't really think anything of it, but just went and laid down, watched TV, and it eventually passed. I had a few other tinnitus flare ups last year, but no other symptoms.

Come early July of this year, I once again had tinnitus flare up, followed by dizziness and nausea this time. I was at a friends house and tried ignoring the dizziness thinking it'd pass, but eventually had to go lay down for a few hours. Since then, I've had tinnitus flare up far more often. It was present nearly half of July, absent most of August, and back again currently. I haven't had any other symptoms other then some GI related issues here and there, probably due to the increased anxiety and stress from the diagnosis.

Following the flare up in early July, I did go to an ENT. They did a hearing test at that time, and my hearing was considered normal - with some minor low frequency hearing loss in my left ear. I did have some minor tinnitus present at that point. Otherwise, he just looked into my ear, nose and throat, said they looked fine, and said it's likely Menieres and recommended a low sodium diet (>1500MG) which I've followed since minus maybe a day or two. He did not run any other tests, but I do have follow up appointments scheduled every 3 months currently.

Does this sound like Meniere's? Does anyone else have a similar story? Mine seems to differ a bit from what I've read, (no ear fullness, 10 years or so of only intermittent tinnitus) or maybe just a minor case compared to some. I currently do not take any vitamins, but might start doing that to see if it helps with the tinnitus. I need to work on lowering my anxiety also since being diagnosed.

Thank you for reading! I really appreciate the insight from this forum. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Do you have a feeling of fullness in that ear? As if it's full of water?
