    Hello Again to All:

Just checking in with y'all - I am still struggling, but fighting the good fight.

Today I am in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica - preparing to return to the U.S. after a nice week of doing virtually nothing here but relaxing and trying to sort out what I want for lunch...

But earlier this year, Feb. and April - after nearly a full year of relative calm - I had 2 full smack downs - likely precipitated by dehydration and exhaustion.

These 2 events were each followed by weeks of trouble hearing, difficulty concentrating, trouble walking, outrageously tinnitus and generally no fun whatsoever day-to-day - ultimately forcing me to reconsider everything.

Then maybe 8-10 weeks ago? I started taking a daily probiotic after dinner, and I started taking a dose of DripDrop electrolyte powder every morning - I made NO significant changes otherwise in either diet or supplements. (I take a maintenance dose of the JOH and the b5/b6 combination as per before, also the once daily triamterene).

After just a few days - my hearing cleared up, my energy came back, and I could once again function almost normally...

Now my hearing will get tinny and distorted from time to time if I take too much caffeine early - but it will come back once I get fully rehydryated.

I've given up on ENTs... I don't think they have anything that can help me. And... not a one of them can explain why my hearing will return to almost normal after weeks and months of cloudiness...???

Anyways - just saying howdy and best wishes to all for the future...!

Good to hear from you. As a lurker, you were one that I followed for months. I am doing B5/B6 as well, along with Pycnogenol and Lysine. So far so good.
From one musician to another, keep fighting the good fight, my friend.

Back on spin cycle this week...

After an unusually stressful 2-3 weeks stretch at work, at home, and all points in between wound up on the bathroom floor Christmas morning after having to crawl through the house to get there... It wasn't even a little bit fun for me, and decidedly not fun for my family.

The early warning signs were all there - raging tinnitus, head feeling full of cement, hearing about at 0%, and having difficulty with balance. Seemed to dissipate on morning walk, but was not to be.

a wave of vertigo hit as I was reaching for a dish in the cupboard, lasted maybe 15-30 seconds.
I headed to the couch, then 2 more short waves followed by a full-on episode lasting about 2 hours during which I had to keep my eyes closed to avoid seeing the house spin around me.

My wife tried to help me to the bathroom, but I fell back to the couch unable to stay on my feet.

Then I had to crawl to get there...

24 hours later, I actually felt pretty good once again, could even hear better.

Today, I am just a little bit groggy but otherwise about back to "normal...?"

Going for an updated brain MRI on Thursday, at ENTs insistence I gave in.

    Happy Holidays to All ...!!!
