Hello. I am a 21 year old female who has recently diagnosed with meniere's. Surprisingly, that is one of my smaller problems. I'll try to keep this nice and short.

Happy, healthy 21 year old living in Portland, Oregon at my first apartment.
I begin to feel incredibly lethargic and sick.
Suddenly,...BOOM! Resting heart rate above 200 beats per minute.
Following these attacks of rapid heart rate, I have both very high and very low blood pressure, my kidneys stop working for a day but then resume function the very next day, and I lose my appetite.
A CBC showed that I had elevated lymphocytes.
Following this, my veins have slowly been breaking down to where they no longer work (venous reflux), my skin has been rippling, the fat underneath it has been rippling, I am beginning to wrinkle. I am losing feeling in hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy)
BAM!! Meniere's attacks. Fullness in both ears, insane vertigo, constant.
I can happily say that the vertigo has stopped after a good few months. However, the ringing and full feeling remain vigilant.
My immune system has since this monster invasion not wanted to work. I have come down with oral thrush, strep, athletes foot, UTI multiple times.
Though I have been showing clear signs of a foreign invader in my body for months, no one is bothering to attempt to locate the source. Apparently a 21 year old with spider veins on her ribcage, hips, feet, hands is completely normal. I am even losing my sight at this point. Meniere's is just one of the symptoms of this. I have seen numerous successes on this page with antiviral medication, so I have started a dose of L-Lysine (3g a day) starting tonight.
Wish me luck. I am open to all questions you may have. Thanks!

Hi Shaina, what a story and I wish you well. Have you had any viral tests done? It might help to know which one is invading your system. If you haven't yet explored this site there are numerous resources that can help. Check out the Richard Gacek study (search in posts) and the JOH regimen (@John of Ohio) that I'm currently on, among others like a high dose Vitamin C (@solari), and also NUCCA chiropractor treatments.

Thank you, Robert. I have been tested for HIV 4 separate times just because the symptoms are so similar. I have also been tested for Hepatitis. Other than these two viral infections, I have not been thoroughly tested. I have so far begged two different primaries and an infectious disease specialist here in Las Vegas to see if we can take a broad look at some of these things I may potentially have, but no one would like to put forth the effort. I am currently under the care of my mother, so I will see what I can do about taking the JOH regimen. I have been on Vitamin C for a couple months. I will reach out to a chiropractor asap.

I realize you are dealing with more than just Meniere’s symptoms though I do believe we’re both suffering from a compromised immune system. The question is how to get it back to where it used to be. I’m planning on going to an immunologist here in LA once I figure out the right one.

Hey, Robert! Sorry for late reply. Since I have began taking the Lysine I have felt absolutely HORRIBLE. I have read somewhere on this forum that there is frequently a phase where the potential virus will fight back. I am afraid to keep taking more, as I just feel absolutely horrible, but I have to keep trying to get any sense of peace back in my life. Any updates on your end?

Hi Shaina, I just passed the 4 month mark on the JOH regimen and I have had a few days with less ear fullness, but it comes and goes. The tinnitus has a mind of its own. Most mornings I wake up and it’s pretty loud, but quiets down after exercise and a hot shower only to come back later on. I also had a visit with my ENT who thought I should try Singulair to separate out my allergies from these other issues. Fingers crossed.

Hello, from what you describe you have an immune problem and it is always difficult to treat them, it is advisable to go to an immunologist.

The only thing I can give you is that vitamin D is very important for the immune system, you can have some tests to see if you have anemia from it or you can directly try a vitamin D3 supplement (recommended to take it with vitamin K2).
