    Hello:
Just a question on the legal aspect of keeping your job with MM condition since it is considered a disability. Can you get fired because of MM?
I am 47 years old and just diagnosed with MM in both ears. I only have my income to rely on and 18 years to work before retirement. I have an option to work from home a couple of days a week but also have to give up driving.
I am thinking of asking my doctor for a note on MM that I could give to my boss to explain my condition. In total I have 25 vacation days per year that I can use it for sick days or vacation. However, we do get flagged by HR if there is a week of unscheduled PTO days (this is where an explanation to my boss comes in). Before all of this I always worked super hard and had plans on moving up in life. Now I feel that I am forever stuck without an option to move forward. It is very unrealistic to think that I am going to keep this job for another 18 years which gives me chils thinking about future.
I would appreciate if you can share your tips on your employment journey. I also read online that is very very hard to get a disability on MM. Honestly, I love working and I am not ready to give up on my career yet.
    Thank you for reading!

If you are having a vertigo attack at work, stay and make sure everyone sees the following destruction.
It happened to me at work, but unfortunately I was alone.
The UPS guy rescued me. I couldn't even find my phone, let alone use it.

My job it isn't an issue, but my employment is unique.
My Meniere's has become much less of an issue in the last three years.
I try to work through all vertigo attacks since there is no way I want to drive home, there really is no choice.

Thank you Jim for sharing your experience. I am afraid that I will have to give up driving as I have it in both ears.
