On February 2nd 2021, a few days after my 49th, I woke up dizzy. It had happened once or twice before, but not like this. I have been in a constant state of head rush dizziness ever since. It took six months of constant doctor visits just to even put a name to this condition. Maybe its because we are in the midst of covid, but medial doctors have been of ZERO help to me, even finding anything out about this condition on the internet has been a struggle. My symptoms have been:
    • Mental Fog, my head at times feels detached from the movements of my body.
    • diarrhea
    • nausea nearly constant
    • shaking
    • sweating
    • stiff neck muscles, I look down a lot when I walk now. I use a cane on occasion when walking through a crowd. It helps give surety.
    • clenched jaw, even broke a molar. I think I concentrate more than normal on average daily tasks.
    • tinnitus in both ears but mostly the right.
    • On occasion when lying down at night, I can feel the water inside my ears dripping, or bubbling, creating fluttering popping sounds.
    • auditory anomalies
    • visual anomalies, jittery eye muscles, peripheral vision blur and occasional light flashes.
    • And of course at tremendous anxiety, fear, and general despondency.
The only thing I have found so far that helps me get up and be the once former me is cannabis. It helps with the retching and nausea, even then I only have a few hours in me at best. Lots of green tea, water and growing my own foods as much as possible in my backyard, season permitting. No salt, no sugar and natural foods.

That's all I have been able to self discover. I look forward to learning from those of you who have this and how you deal with it.

    Thank-You for listening.

I would advise you to find the BEST General Practitioner in your area and ask who they recommend thats an expert in Meniers. Let us know how you do, and I wish you a good outcome, as we're all in the same floating boat here..

...sounds like me four years ago. But my condition improved. I have the same experience, that the doctors were not that helpful as I hoped.
After much too long time I found out, that at least two conditions led to my misery. The Menière and severe problems with my lumbar spine and although my neck and jaw. I had quite a lot of physiotherapy, especially helpful was an expert for Vertigo and strokes. She really built me up in very small steps. Starting with eye movements.
I don't need my cane anymore after 4 years, getting intensive physio.
But of course that is not all, I also try to eat a healthy diet and I'm careful with histamin. Getting Betahistine from the doctor and Amitriptylin Off-Label-Use against my pain, but it is also helpful with anxiety and sleeplessness.
    Best wishes for you, Lilja

    I'm not sure about antihistamines.
I am supposed not to take them as I get Betahistine.
Betahistine is no antihistamine, as I understood, it is similar to histamine.
In the beginning I used to put some cotton or sheeps' wool into my ear. It was much easier for me to be aware having something real in my ear than just the phantom feeling.
But I' ve found out If I cool my ear, the fullness disappears after a while. Sounds weird, but I have a range of oval stones in the fridge I put into my ear when I need them.
Massaging my neck and jaw and relaxing helps me a lot.

Hey, there! Wishing you luck and good health...I'm new to this space myself, and dealing with another bout at the moment. I'm also wondering how I'm going to make this work: Bend, twist, step and lift at speed are the definition of my job. Don't give up!
