The countdown has started... about a week to go before surgery! It's scheduled for February 14th! I want to thank all the members for their comments that helped me in my decision. My special thanks to Blake because his testimony and sharing in this forum after doing his Labyrinthectomy was decisive for my decision making. After the operation I will tell you how it went and how the recovery has been so that I can help other people with questions that they may have. Of course, in the first few days I may not be able to write, but as soon as I can, I'll let you know how the recovery is going. See you soon! :)

Congratulations!!!! By March your will be living a normal life and never again dizzy. I had my laby over 10 years ago and live a completely normal life as any other 52 year old man.

I predict you will disappear as menieres and vertigo/dizziness will forever be a thing of the past

    god bless

    Hi Luis

I just wanted to say that I'm also Portuguese. I live in the Algarve. I suffer from Menieres since 2019 although I had my first episode in 1998.
I wish you all the best of luck.
    Regards
    Maria

Hi Luis, my wife (with MD) and I am looking to understand how this operation is affecting you, as she has had very little success in aleviating the effects of MD in her life.

I can only write a few words now but these three days have been very difficult The surgery was on February 14th. Monday was horrible with a lot of dizziness and vertigo and vomiting with the feeling that the room was facing the right way. Day 2 a small improvement. I walked from the bed to the bedroom door and sat for 30 minutes on the armchair in the bedroom Today is the 3rd I'm better than yesterday but still I'm still quite dizzy I can't walk alone. Im still in the hospital
