What symptoms started to present/ increase indicating your Meniere's was progressing? Di you do anything to hault or slow the progression. My tinnitus has been increased for a few weeks and I'm scared I'm progressing. No vertigo attacks since diagnoses 3 years ago. BLESS UP! I would love to hear any thoughts/tips. THANK YOU! I hope you're all doing wonderful!
I'm diagnosed with cochlear hydrops and still identifying my root cause (though I did respond well to antivirals for a bit). My main progression has been: 2020 June - 2020 Nov: Right ear episodes of low-frequency diplacusis. Always self-resolved. 2021 Jan: Right ear EHF SSNHL. Resolved with prednisone steroids. 2021 March: Left ear developed pure tone tinnitus. Some right ear intermittent fullness appears for a week only. 2021 March: PPPD begins. 2021 May: Right ear intermittent fullness persists daily. 2021 June: Episodes of single-sided nose inflammation begin to happen. 2021 July: Right ear HF SSNHL. Resolved with Prednisone. 2021 Aug: Left ear starts experiencing intermittent ear fullness. The right ear intermittent ear fullness persists. 2021 Aug: Started antivirals and ear fullness disappears. 2021 Nov: Ear fullness returns, both ears. Looking into restarting antivirals on a higher dose soon, as well as potentially exploring TMJD and/or upper cervical misalignments.
For now and so far, yes. Would love to understand why exactly it works for some and for others it does not. I think tolerance and resistance can potentially play a role after a while, but from the get-go, there's gotta be something different going on in the inner ear with those who don't respond compared to those who do.
