On 3/18/22 I found the database and your suggested treatment. I started by taking l-lysine and vitamin C and ordered the lemon bioflavonoid, vinpocetine, ginko biloba, sustained release vitamin C, vitamin E, and MSM. Prior to my starting I was experiencing two to three vertigo episodes per week. The vertigo episodes stopped! It's been 35 days and no vertigo. My quality of life has improved. I stopped taking the diuretic two weeks ago and went back to my normal diet. This has also improved my quality of life. I have cut back on the vitamin C since we drink OJ and eat a lot of fruits and vegies in our household.

    Thanks John of Ohio

Glad to learn of your success with the regimen. May it continue (which it usually does if you stay compliant with taking it as described).

Hi. Many of the meds that were in the protocol do not come up as available. I know you can’t ruined us about certain ones being correct. Is there a 2022 list that I missed ?

I have not updated the list since 2014. Vinpocetine is no longer available. The lemon bioflavonoid product may be gone.

But the most important element of the regimen, lysine, is available. Other vitamin C products may be used.

Hey John. Thank you for your regimen. I started taking a modified version of it at the start of 2022 - tailored mainly because I found it difficult to get the lemon bioflavonoid and the vinpocetine. I was taking Lysine, vit c, MSM and a thing called lipo-flavanoids.
Within days of starting this - miracle of miracles - it worked. My hearing returned and fullness was gone and I had no more dizzy spells.
Because it was so successful, a few weeks ago, I decided to try and reduce my dose - instead of taking it every day, I reduced it to every two days, then every three days.
This has been a disaster - fullness and deafness has returned and I have had 2 dizzy spells.
I am back on the regimen - in fact almost taking double what I had been. After 10 days, the deafness is much much worse than before (I would say I am almost completely deaf in the bad ear - previously at its worst I retained 30% hearing) and I am no longer getting relief. It's scary.
Have you or anyone else experienced this?
BTW, I have ordered lemon bioflavanoids and vinpocetine online now - so planning to go for the full regimen when they arrive.

It’s been 3 months since I started the regime and I have not experienced any episodes. As I previously mentioned I reduced the vit c in half. Also three days ago I reduced my lysine intake by 500mg. I take 1000mg in the morning, 500mg during the day and 1000mg before bedtime. I stopped taking vinpocentine and the lemon bioflavonoid after I ran out over a month ago. I plan on staying on the regimen while slowly cutting back on the “non essential “ msm vit c vit e etc. as mentioned in other posts l lysine is the key to keeping the herpies virus dormant.

Yes, when symptoms abate, after being on the regimen for some time, going off or reducing the regimen can seem reasonable. But, yes, quite often, most of the time, the symptoms promptly return; often (for a time) worse than before.

That's because the lysine merely retards or stops the replication (reproduction) of the virus that causes the inflammation that cause the symptoms. The virions (individual viruses) persist in inner ear tissues for some time, inactive if lysine is present. When lysine is terminated or significantly reduced, the viruses can once again resume activity; symptoms resume.

Stay with the lysine, even after symptoms abate; to prevent their re-activation. But, how long? I don't know. After about five years of no symptoms, I slowly, over several months, incrementally reduced the lysine doses I was taking each day. Finally, I stopped them altogether (that was more than 10 years ago). I've never had a recurrence of any Meniere's symptoms, thankfully. The disease took the hearing in my left ear; it's gone and will never recover. But I continue to have no Meniere's symptoms. One reason for that is that I now take 7000IU of vitamin D-3, plus magnesium glycinate, all of which strongly supports my innate immune system, allowing it to suppress any new herpes virus infection.

Diuretics never did anything for me either - much better success with JOH regimen and a positive mental attitude.
