    Hey, everyone!

I wanted to talk about Dana White, the UFC president (Mixed Martial Arts), and what he has done to combat Meniere's. It seems he knows what he is talking about, not a mild case:

This thing is indescribable. People can’t deal with it. It drops you. It puts you down. You can’t open your eyes for hours or sometimes days. You have to keep your eyes closed. Every time you open your eyes, you throw up. And it’s pain like you can’t imagine. You start sweating buckets of water. You can’t open your eyes. You curl up into a fetal position for hours or days. You just lay in bed and pray you fall asleep. You want the room as dark as you can get it. I’ve been traveling all over the world for 13 years. I’ve had the flu. I’ve had food poisoning. I’ve had just about everything you can have, and it doesn’t faze me. I just keep going. This thing puts you down.”

It seems he had endolymphatic sac surgery in 2013, the shunt variant, but it didn't work out. Then he did this:

"Well, A-Rod from the Yankees, hit me up and told me that when he was hurt Kobe called him and they both went to Germany and did this stem cell stuff. Right. So he says listen bro, I don't know if this is going to help you, but I'll tell you what it's worth a shot. Well long story short, we had the fight out in Sweden. I went to Germany. I got the stem cells. Dude, I am 100 percent cured. I am 100 percent a new guy, man. I'm working out again. I'm doing all the things that I used to do. I'm traveling. My life is back. All they do is they go in there, they take your blood, they incubate it, they spin it and add stuff to it. I don't know what the hell they do, I'm no scientist. I'm a million bucks now, man. I couldn't feel better."

The stem cell thing he is talking about is/are Orthokine. I know very little about this, but it seems it is a broad approach to basically combat inflammation of all kinds. They take your blood and basically turn it into a specialised mixture to quiet down inflammation and inject it back into you. It seems it is a three month period with 2 injections. I know Dana White basically has limitless resources and I know nothing of the place he went to, but I live an hours drive away and it is not the only place that uses Orthokine treatment.

I basically wanted to talk about it and dig all your brains on the matter.

So far, it seems he is not relapsing.

I remember reading about this procedure a few years ago on this site. If you do a search the posts might still be available.

According to this thread, it didn't even last for him.

I repost this from the thread I found in this forum since I have a question, and sorry again for making this thread.

    What is SS?

''Hi Vicki! I am doing really well, thank you! I didn't feel much better after my first round of Orthokine, but at about the same time I started SS (not to be discussed on this forum), and about 4 months into that, and 3 months after my first round of Orthokine, my symptoms started to subside. I am happy to report that after having completed my second round of Orthokine and continuing SS, I have been virtually symptom free for over 5 months- something that hasn't happened in my (albeit brief) 2+ years with MD. I still have hearing loss in my bad ear and some tinnitus (mostly in my good ear, surprisingly), but it's completely manageable. I am not in any way limited in my daily life, which is such a dramatic change from just 9 months ago. And while I by no means am claiming that I am cured, I am enjoying this respite from symptoms and taking the time to get much, much healthier- an extraordinarily healthy diet (no bread, no pasta, no cheese, no meat- only organic, fresh, whole foods and whole grains), yoga, meditation, exercise, etc etc. I would like to be better prepared physically, emotionally, and spiritually in the event that my symptoms return, although I'm of course hopeful that they won't! Anyway, that's my story, and I didn't mean to hijack this thread! I haven't heard from anyone who has found relief with Burcon, so I'd be interested to know if it has helped anyone here on .org.''

    Hi Christian S

"SS" refers to a man, Stephen Spring, who is a lawyer in Australia, who has done a lot of research on MD and claimed to have a cure which he sold to people for large sums of money.

After a while, he was asked not to post on this forum as he seemed to be using it to recruit customers and was quite argumentative. More or less claiming his was the only cure.

So, that is what SS is :)

I have been on the anti-inflammation routine for quite a while now. It was the first thing I did. I have never ever heard of this person. Sorry for bringing it up. I thought it stood for sclerosis or something. Did not expect some charlatan behind the acronym. My bad
