Hi all. I'm new here but a veteran of Meniere's. After struggling for several years, the worse parts just "went away." As of the end of June of this year, they've come roaring back. So I've started up trying some supplements and tracking all my vertigo attacks, and basically, anything I can that's out of the ordinary. My question is, what do folks here use to organize? If at all. I started the JOH Regimen, and honestly, the hardest part is keeping track of what to take and when. I need this for work, and keep this at home. But only for weekends or days off. This goes with food. This doesn't. Etc. Plus, I'm just entering all my supplement intake and attack "events" into an excel spreadsheet. So just wondering what everyone else does. If this has been asked before (I thought it would have) I apologize. Couldn't find anything with a search.
Hi Bazookaman - I keep a daily spreadsheet schedule for each supplement, times to take them, with or without food, etc. I print this schedule out when symptoms are so elevated that I cannot think straight to remember everything. In the same spreadsheet I keep track of symptoms, what was the weather like that day, what did I eat and drink, etc. It goes back to the beginning of Meniere's for me, early 2008... In a haphazard fashion, as there are gaps where all symptoms just disappeared - sometimes for months at a time. Symptoms returned with a vengeance last Christmas, this is now becoming again a very busy and detailed spreadsheet - but it works for me to remember and recall when episodes have occurred, and what did I think precipitated those episodes? I keep a separate daily journal as well, handwritten notes and observations. But today, after having spent the better part of the weekend on spin cycle again, I began to revisit some of the information that has helped me before - I ran across this blog. My Shadow - Meniere's Thought I would pass it along, without any sort of endorsement per se - I have not read through the whole thing yet... There's link for a more organized tracker in there - Meniere’s Journal Good luck, and Fight On...
It's frightening how similar your process is to mine. Although perhaps not. I started with Notes on my iPhone. Then progressed to a spreadsheet in the cloud to better organize my thoughts. Including date, time, what happened, dizziness or hearing issue, etc. Thanks for the links. I will check them out later today. Given how things have been going the last week, I'm anticipating some "downtime" today.
