Hey everyone! I was wondering what strategies y'all have for dealing with motion sickness on a bus. I have to take a bus 4x/week to get to one of my classes (ironically, ASL), and recently as my symptoms have been worsening, I've found traveling on that bus really difficult because of the motion sickness. I took a dramamine (less drowsy) today which helped a bit, but I don't love using those because of the brain fog they give me. Do y'all know anything that works well for motion sickness?
Hello Crawfish. I always had been very sick in every motion quicker than walking. Since I'm getting Betahistin , I can even read in the tram. You can help yourself by looking on a vertical line either in the bus or outside moving towards. Best wishes Lilija.
I sit up front. Mint leaves, mint tea, ginger might help and not make you drowsy. Meclizine may or may not make you drowsy. Rubbing the acupressure points for nausea etc (google). Stabilize your gaze on things outside of the bus, relaxed deep breathing, try to feel grounded in my seat.
I find it very difficult to be a passenger now. Although moving in a vehicle sucks, at least when I'm driving I can focus on something. I've not tried a bus yet. Blech!
