Does covid make meniere's worse?

Just curious as to whether or not those who have had covid seemed to experience more dizziness, etc. than usual. I'm recently getting over (hopefully!) a bout with covid and have a great deal of feeling 'spacey' but also mild dizziness - so much like a mild meniere's attack. I've done a bit of research and it appears there is a link between covid and dizziness symptoms, so have to wonder if those with meniere's are particularly susceptible to increased or similar symptoms. Particularly I experience mild vertigo when changing position in bed at night or else when getting up. I know this sounds like typical meniere's, but it'd be very unusual for me to experience this on a day-to-day basis. Surely many here do however.

IF it's all MD related, I've been wondering if maybe cutting down on the frequency of taking triamterene-HCTZ would help, perhaps every other day instead of daily.

    Thanks for any thoughts...

Not sure if it's been validated through a study, but I believe I read there is a link between the COVID virus and (what many believe is) the MD virus. It seemed to play out that way for me. I was symptomless last fall and then I caught COVID on Christmas Day, 2021. I was clear of the COVID symptoms in 2-3 days. But I was dizzy for the following three months. Coinicidence is always possible but I found an article that seemed to possibly link the two. Also, PubMed drew some conclusions: "Conclusions and significance: A higher incidence of MD first diagnosis was calculated during COVID-19 pandemic; furthermore, MD patients presented with more vertigo attacks and higher DHI values. These could be associated with the higher state anxiety during COVID-19 pandemic."

Had Covid in early January. Pretty bad, lasted almost two weeks.
I noticed no difference in Meniere's symptoms.
My Meniere's symptoms change every Spring and Fall for the last 6 years.
Something new and exciting every year.
