A friend of my parents recently called me. She felt dizzy and fell to the ground several times (almost killed herself because she was nearby a fire) at around 30 yrs old.

She had a tough time dealing with her career adjustments and, in the meantime, was taking care of her daughter all by herself. Sometimes she stayed up all night traveling (to visit her daughter) and in the morning started babysitting soon. That's when she was diagnosed MD.

Back then the doctor did not have advanced measures to deal with it. She was given
anti-inflammatory treatments and the doctors told her to relax more and never get a cold. And in the following 3-5 years, her working condition became better, her daughter grown up, the vertigo just vanished.

Today, in her 50s. She said she almost forget that she once had MD. I'm sharing because this forum is full of grief and failures. If you have more successful stories please also help share.

I suppose anything's possible. My neighbor suffered from all sorts of ailments that seemed to have no connection to one another. It stymied several doctors. At some point, she quit her job and started her own business. Her health issues completely disappeared.

I know a ''miracle'' story firsthand. Because it was my brother. He was diagnosed with MD when he was 27 years old. His first kid was on the way, he was working three job, finishing university and a lot of stress all over. Two years later, he had the job he wanted, a lot less stress and his MD just slowly went away. That was 11 years ago. MD has never shown up again for him.

He took Betahistine but did nothing else. Believe me, I asked him EVERYTHING. No dietary restrictions, no supplements, no medication. It was a definitive MD diagnosis, he went to specialists at a university clinic.

I was diagnosed when I was 34. MD came when I was in severe mental pain and stress. I was working out and eating pretty healthy. But I was suffering severely.

My Meniere also appeared after a few years of strong stress and nervous breakdowns. And it's gotten a lot better since I started to relax, but I highly doubt it will totally cure me by getting rid of the tinnitus and improving my hearing.

My MD just started up again over the last couple months after being dormant for years. I have been under tremendous stress the past 18 months at my job and dealing with deaths in the family. I've had a few other unrelated medical conditions that would magically go away when I was on vacation. I wonder how much of MD symptoms could be resolved simply by a large reduction of stress?

I was DX in 1984, had the VNS in 1991, vertigo free since, and still have "some" hearing in my affected ear. How's that for a success story?
