I am new to meneries was just recently diagnosed and my world was turned upside down. My symptoms have been happening for about 6months. I am a senior widowed woman so when my attacks come I can't even walk to the bathroom by myself I feel helpless. I am use to walking or riding my 3wheel bike and now I have fear an attack will happen when I'm out. The attackes are just horrible to get use to. I have to try to learn how to deal with this I know. Thanks for listening
I am a senior widowed woman and in the same situation. I also ride a bike (and kayak), and for some reason, haven't had an attack while biking-- the attacks seem most likely with sudden or forceful head movements, such as dragging the kayak up on the dock, or throwing my head back to drink from a water bottle. I have been helped by keeping my neck and shoulder (trapezius) muscles stretched.
I’m new to this too! Working with and ENT and allergist. The ENT put me on a diuretic and am trying different allergy meds and a nasal steroid that is helping tremendously for the fullness. Also, trying to elevate stresses in my life and pin pointing. I just did a ketamine therapy session to clear out my head and I feel a lot better. The ENT explained that vertigo happens when the inner ear is over producing too much fluid and the wall breaks between your middle inner ear and the frontal ear barrier and the fluids combine. So if you can reduce the fluid production you will have less attacks. I hope this helps!
