I used heavy earplugs for years before getting Meniere's. Could that have created a silent infection in the inner ear?

I am wondering if others used earplugs as well.

Interesting topic about earplugs. That’s the main reason that I ended up with Ménière’s. The earplugs that I used back in 2014 gave me an ear pressure that caused me to get vertigo in my right ear followed by an infection. So I not the only one with this weird phenomenon. This needs to be reported or studied for those who rely on these stupid foaming things to protect your ears. Ever since that incident, I stopped using any type of earplugs ever again (although I have to use it during a MRI)
