Vestibular Nerve Section Surgery

    imagine a piece of string attached to either side of your head pulling with reasonable force equally. You are upright and feel equal.

    now cut one - you are pulled violently in the direction of the remaining string. You are in a state of disequilibrium.

    After a while you learn to balance despite the imbalance.

    now cut the other piece of string and the same happens.

    slightly crude analogy but hopefully helps explain - vestibular system is responsible for your balance, orientation etc and if they both disappear you are in for a tough time.

    Ok so I have menieres in both and if I keep getting that if I keep attacks damage to both sides I might not be able to walk is that correct

    Nothing is 100% Paul you might never have another attack again. Focus on what you can do today.
