Hearing aid questions for users

    June, in my opinion, the key here is to raise their awareness. If we collectively express the need for specific functionalities, it is only a matter of time before they are incorporated. Without sufficient awareness on their part, progress will be stagnant. Therefore, by vocalizing our needs, we can collectively influence the outcome. I am optimistic that our message will gradually resonate with them. From a technological standpoint, it is already feasible to customize our hearing aids to effectively accommodate changes in our hearing abilities. And it should not be overly challenging from their perspective to furnish us with the means to customize the aids. In my sincere judgment, it is merely a simplified iteration of their standard software.

    I agree completely. For their fear that we will messit up entirely, they just need a ‘return to default’ button to out it back to the audiologist’s setting. It seems, looking at their patient app, they just haven't made it a priority yet and there is always the expense of keeping current with op sys chnges on two platforms. But i expect to see it before long. Younger computer savvy people wont put up with not having this capability.

    If the manufacturer don’t step in I can foresee that there are parties who jailbreak their devices and come up with a solution. There is a huge market worldwide so it’s a matter of time before one steps in. Let’s face it my hearing fluctuate between 15 and 90 dB loss in hours. For an audiologist a disaster to set up the device. Are there others here with such fluctuations?
