Greetings everyone. As someone living with definitive bilateral Meniere's disease, I have observed opportunities for enhancing collaboration between ENT specialists and hearing care professionals. In response, I developed a software tool that allows individuals to conduct self-assessments of their hearing in their own environments. This approach aims to provide more accurate average measurements, which can significantly aid in optimizing hearing aid fittings and monitoring disease progression. The application I created is the first of its kind to offer a professional-grade hearing test, boasting an accuracy of up to 0.1 dB and adhering to medical standards. It evaluates various aspects, including hearing loss, tinnitus levels, average pure tone, and the speech banana, among others. I am seeking Mac, iPhone, or iPad users to participate in testing the app, with the goal of further refining it for others affected by Meniere's disease or similar conditions. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in becoming a beta tester. All that is required is a pair of stereo headphones and a recommended dB meter for calibration, which can also be a free software application available for download from the App Store. A full test takes you roughly 5 minutes.
Hello Yellowboy, First of all thanks for participating as a beta tester. Please feel free to send me a private message with your first and last name, as well as your email address. This will enable me to include you in the list of beta testers. Additionally, could you let me know which platform you would prefer to use? You can find a document detailing the setup and calibration process here: https://www.enlightenment.school/download/hearingscan-pro-manual.pdf. (this is from the previous version without tinnitus masking but for the setup it is identical) If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
I tried to PM you but the forum wouldn't let me based on my number of previous posts. I'm interested if you can send me a PM. Thanks!
Dear TR3B and Yellowboy, I attempted to send you both a private message but was unable to find the option. Therefore, I am providing my contact page here: Contact, where you can reach out to me directly. Please include your first and last name, as well as your email address. Additionally, let me know if you would like to test on an iPhone/iPad, Mac, or both, as I will need to create a beta tester account for you. Following this, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the software. If you require any further assistance with the setup, please do not hesitate to ask.
