I'm looking for an ENT doctor that would prescribe antivirals in the north-east. I would love to see Dr Gacek, but it would mean a 6h flight for each appointment and there are no direct flights (basically taking 2 days for each 20 minutes appointment) For those who were successful at getting antiviral prescribed, can you provide references? Thanks!
Dr Gacek does virtual consults over Zoom. Yes, it’s not the same as in person, but he spent a considerable amount of time with me going over my case history and ultimately prescribed antivirals. if he goes the same route with you just be ready to provide a pharmacy where they will fax the prescription to.
Hello Taylor, My internist Dr. Weilin Yang prescribed Valtrex after reading the study at my request. She's in Maryland. Weilin Yang, M.D. | Johns Hopkins Medicine
I'm wondering if antivirals (including L-Lysine natural version) would work on an old (not suddenly and recently acquired) viral infection that came on slowly over the years and has already done its damage.
I think the odds are not as good but it has happened both according to my doctor and at least on person on this board.
So you are saying then that using L-Lysine (1000 MG, 3 times a day on an empty stomach for several months) did, indeed, cure at least two people? I have been on it for 3 and a half months with no change, and am about to give it up...unless I hear that I am giving up too soon...
I suggest you continue with the lysine for another two months. For some, it takes and extended period for lysine to take effect. --John of Ohio
I have an appointment with this doctor in April. She has office hours in NYC and NJ. I am currently prescribed Valacyclivor from Dr. Gacek vie Telemed appointments, but I want a local doctor too. The first so called Menieres expert I went to was dismissive and unhelpful. Has anyone seen Dr. Chandrasekhar? Sujana S. Chandrasekhar, MD, FACS, FAAO-HNS
