I was diagnosed with bi-lateral Menieres in 2005. Since I have had periods of remission and then it would come back--then remission again, etc.

However, for the last month I have had, ear pain, not exactly dizzy spells but like my brain was sloshing to one side, headache and blurred vision in my right eye. The thing is this does not act like Meniere's at all. I've been to the Cardiologist, Hematologist, and ENT. No one has had any help for me. The ENT did say that whatever this is, it is not the Meniere's showing up again. He also added that I have significant hearing loss. I see the Neurologist tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen when it wasn't the Meniere's. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you for the forum, I would like to have more dietary answers, and would appreciate ‘Drop Attack-Crisis of Turmakin as a category. I have fallen 6 times in 4 weeks, I’ve had Meniere’s disease for many years, but these falls have just started.

Willie, will be interested to hear what your neurologist says. I tend to lean towards vestibular migraine. (I haven't had one but over the years have read up so much on different things headache related.) From what I recall that can cause issues similar to what you are experiencing. Good luck.

I have also been to my cardiologist, had an Echo, a carotid artery’s scan a had my pacemaker checked. Then a neurologist, he ordered a CT Scan, all results were good. I followed up with my ENT, he referred me to a group of specialist here st Tampa General. The Dr Bartels group have an extensive curriculum vital on the ear and Ménière’s disease, my appointment is next week.

The neurologist did a MRI and said everything looks good. (That is what everybody has said.) But, she did send me to rehab. I've only been three times but it seems to be helping. The therapist there said that I have neck problems as well as vestibular problems and BPPV. (This is all on top of the Meniere's). She is working with me and I've already seen improvement and am hoping to see much more in the coming weeks. I'm not sure why the ENT didn't "find" the BPPV. I'm just thankful for some help.

Willie, not sure where you live but have you checked out upper cervical chiropractor? If you are having issues as described including your neck it could be worth a try. Upper cervical (also called Nucca and other names) is very different than standard chiro adjustments.

I have not checked out an upper cervical chiropractor. I honestly didn't even know there was such a thing. I will do some checking in my area. Thanks.
