Color. I am back getting frequent drop attacks, after nearly 24 years of this cursed ailment and having had more treatments than I can count. Here's the thing. I have noticed that the last 3 worst ones happened when I was presented with a large red object, wall, canvas or something similar. Has anyone else found that a particular color, especially when large and prominent, is a trigger? Just curious. Had a severe drop attack today next to a grandson's very large, red fabric fire engine, and another weaker one folding some red towels.

I will be so glad to be done with this disease that robbed me of a third of my life so far. There is only one way that will happen, and I will welcome the day. Even though it will be hard on my family emotionally. Fortunately, I have decent life insurance, so at least that part of me will not feel guilty for wanting out of this life.

Hi Brownrecluse. I remember your story through the years, very sad. That is quite a remarkable trigger you have noticed. Quite something. I wonder if wearing heavy tinted glasses would eliminate it. I'll bet you could get glasses that would block the red frequency. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Could this new symptom be unrelated to Meniere's and actually due to a different condition?

Remember that the balance system relies on three main inputs: the inner ear, vision, and proprioception. If there’s an issue with your vision or something neurological, that can also cause falls, vertigo, etc.

I would definitely go see a doctor to bring up this new symptom.
