I'm still getting over the flu and had a bad reaction to the 3rd antibiotic which Im still recovering from BUT

NO VERTIGO through it all. This month is my 2 year anniversary of being vertigo free.
    I started acyclovir Jan 2013.

I owe it all to these forums and Dr Gacek. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now to figure out how I can stop from getting so sick so often.

    Congratulation, Vicki!

I've never heard that expression. Bear as in rough, or Bear as in Nosey?

    Thanks Nathan,

    the expression "bear" means rough.

Good news, just hope it lasts. I had a three year remission without taking antivirals, hope it's the antivirals working for you and not just coincidence. Good Luck!

How are your other symptoms? Any brain fog? or ear pressure? Hearing loss?

That is wonderful! Congratulations!! Awful as the flu is, I'm sure it's a heckuva lot more pleasant without vertigo as part of the scene. I hope you feel better soon.

I am grateful for Dr. Gacek and these forums every day.

Ugh. I meant to quote you, June. This is what happens when I contribute to .org at 6:30am.

Thanks Chris I don't have any of the other symptoms except for a low level of tinnitus which is usually drowned out by background noise.

My hearing loss is not due to MM and is mild.

ear fullness etc only acts up if I am sick or my allergies are acting up, so I increase my maintenance dose by 1, 400 mg pill.

No Brain fog is a great sign, even when I went into remission I still had the brain fog.

That's great news! When you say vertigo, do you mean the violent attacks where we become disabled (bed ridden) or do you mean daily wooziness and dizziness? Or both?

its been a miracle for me I don't get dizzy spells or feel off balance anymore either except during times of illness and allergies.

Congratulations on the 2 year mark. That is so very awesome - and much appreciated that you continue to come and share your knowledge with others (instead of riding off into the sunset enjoying your non-vertigo life)!

I am sorry that you got this darn flu bug. I know someone else who got it and it has been a struggle, flu/sinus infection/bronchitis/walking pneumonia, etc... UGH.

    Feel better soon. And congrats!
