Have had MM for the last 5 years. Went on Acyclovir in March 2016, 3,600 mg for 4 months and now on maintenance of 1,200 daily. Been virtually vertigo free since June and balance is considerably better. I've had progressive hearing loss in each ear, my left is currently at 15% and the right 40%. I was tested 2 weeks back and it has been decreasing even during the last 6 months while on the antiviral. I had allergy testing 2 years ago, identified issues with Candida/moulds/environment and some food sensitivities. Has anyone had successes with antifungal meds improving hearing? My ENT is concerned about potential liver/kidney issues and won't write a prescription (he's also a friend so I appreciate the concern) but I'll take some risk it if there's a chance for success
I'm glad to hear the vertigo is being controlled by the antivirals. I know some other folks have had good experiences with anti-fungals, so i'd wait for them to chime in. Best of luck!
