Thats for Northstar the best generic. You can call McKesson distributors (possibly, they distrib Northstar in the SE USA) and ask where to buy Northstar Famvir in your area

Dwayne - you were spot on. I called a local mom & pop pharmacy and they quoted me 115 dollars for 90 pills.

    So Northstar is the best??

I will give it a shot and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for your help!

I have no experience with the Famvir. I have been taking the generic Valtrex - but specifically the generic from Northstar. I had a script refilled early on and they filled with an alternate manufacturer and I immediately had issues...and until then had never anticipated or expected there to be a difference. I thought all generics were the same. Wrong. My insurance mandated mail order and that pharmacy would not agree to a specific manufacturer so I called around. Near me my local Costco agreed to order it in and for at least 2 years I paid cash monthly as it was worth it to me to not spin. :) I was on the load dose for 3 months I believe, then full taper. One really "off" days I take an extra pill but for the most part so far so good. I didn't get any hearing back but my dr had said that they didn't expect that because the loss had been for "too long". Good luck in whatever you choose...but definitely you have my vote for Northstar. :)

This is helpful info! I’ve been on Valtrex (brand) 1000 3x per day for 3 weeks now. My vertigo seems much better, in spite of crazy barometric nonsense. I ha thought of sticking with Gacek study, and reducing my dose now. But I’m returning to art school tomorrow- a building that seems to be a trigger for me, so I’ll stay at the higher dose for now.

And I’m still very wobbly and tinnitus is loud.

I’ll ask my gp for liver and kidney tests next week.

Allergies can be a real trigger in case you find there is one place that seems to trigger your symptoms. Good luck and continued success!
