    Hey!
Today is my 25th day of taking Acyclovir.
    I took 800 * 3 per day for the first 3 weeks, now I switched to 800 * 2 per day.
I also take lysine 2000 a day in parallel, oregano oil 2 times a day, vitamin C 2000 and in the morning on an empty stomach systemic enzymes and recently added garlic from Candida.
    What can I say...
In the first week of admission, I had my last attack, it was very long (a little over 24 hours), but there was no vertigo, only nausea and loss of balance.
A week later, my ear began to fill up again and I was very upset, but suddenly this process stopped and to this day I have the status quo.
Yesterday I passed a blood test (to check the kidneys and liver) and it turned out that ALT and AST in 2 months rose from 30 to 43 and from 28 to 42, respectively, which is higher than normal.
    Creatinine seems to be normal.
What do you think this is a reaction of the liver and kidneys to Acyclovir? Isn't it dangerous to continue?
I constantly feel pain in my back and stomach.

    Upd.

Today is 2 months since I started taking acyclovir.
I started with 800 * 3 per day for 3 weeks, then switched to 800 * 2 per day for 2 weeks and now 800 * 1 per day (I break the pill in half and drink half in the morning and in the evening)
I also take B5 + B6, ginkgo biloba, lysine 1000 mg, vitamin C and magnesium.

When I started taking acyclovir, the disease was in an acute phase and a few days later there was a very strong attack (more than 24 hours) and then remission began for almost 2 months, although my sore ear "hung" by about 20% of the liquid inside, but the disease did not progress

I was already glad that the acyclivor was working, but for a week I fell ill with a cold (severe runny nose without fever) and yesterday herpes came out on the inside of my lip and today I woke up and my ear was already 50% full ((.

What do your friends think, is it worth returning the dosage of 800 * 3 for a couple of days? I also managed to get Valtrex, so I think I can switch to it, it's strange that acyclovir could not keep the disease even from a common cold ((

    Hey!
    Thanks for the answer.
Yes, I still have oregano oil, I have been taking it for several days.

I also directed all the heavy artillery against the disease - acyclovir 2 * 800, monolaurin 2000 mg, lysine 2000 mg, vitamin C every 3 hours, anti-candida garlic, oregano oil and I take a supplement called "biofilm" in the morning - it breaks down the biofilms of viruses.

Yesterday morning I woke up and the swelling in my ear decreased slightly, I began to hear better, but by the evening everything was back ((
Also, my whole face was covered with red spots - this is the dying off of viruses.

I'm sure that in my case, herpes is just the tip of the iceberg, there is also a cofactor - either fungi or bacteria.
I also have toothaches from taking supplements, there is a possibility that viruses or bacteria that cause MD are a dental infection (I had a tooth removed six months before the onset of the disease and I did not take an antibiotic)

    Thanks for the information.

I managed to remove the inflammation in a week, I was sure that the attack was about to begin (the ear could hardly hear), but I woke up 4 days ago and found that I began to hear better by 20-30%.
I noticed that monolaurin works best, I'm thinking of switching completely to this tool.
Was 2 days ago at a neurologist, she sent me to an MRI, which came out clean.
I brought her a study by Dr. Gacek and asked her to take antivirals under her supervision, but she refused, said that they can only be taken for 2 weeks, then there is no virus in the body)), I countered her that Herpes are not excreted from the body, but live there constantly, she told me that she knows better than me)) and that taking acyclovir constantly is very dangerous for the kidneys and liver. She doesn't want to take responsibility for herself.
I will look for another doctor, maybe an infectious disease specialist, in principle I can get pills without a prescription, but I want to take them under the supervision of a specialist, because now my creatinine and AST ALT have increased
