Hi JustRose I have been considering not wearing the ear plug 24/7. There are times in my day when things are quiet. Most of the time I am in a noisy environment. I am a professional musician. I am playing instruments and singing with children in the mornings and assisted living friends in the afternoons.

    Hi June,

I was thinking about not taking the lysine, oopss time running out am at library.........bye bye

Santa you need to stick with 1 thing for awhile before adding more meds/herbs. You will never know what is helping and what is not. You cannot rush the process, unfortunately It takes time to figure out what gives a person relief.

I agree with June stick with the acyclovir for at least 1 month unless ofc you get an adverse reaction and then take it from there.
FYI lysine made me very dizzy, someone else on the forums experienced that as well. I do not take it due to that.

OK. I left the library. Drove without ear plug. Not too bad. Although the jingle of the keys and clicking of door handle were disturbingly loud. And, all the noises in Publix were disturbing
I am going to try to find more times during my day that I can take the plug out.

    June,
I have been debating with myself on whether or not to just take acyclovir.
My problem is I have this other disease called, "if a little is good for you then a lot must be better." I did prove this wrong once when I took niacin.

I am in my sixth week of taking acyclovir. I started with the combo of acyclovir, lysine, vinpocetine and lemon flavonoids After a week I stopped the lysine as it was causing heart burn. But a week later I started all again and just drank lots of water when ingesting the lysine

So, if more is better and I stop taking everything but acyclovir I might be choosing the wrong path. Or, a path that will take longer to make me we'll again

    Still debating.......
