We're getting closer to knowing if we have a new weapon against this disease. Everything seems to indicate that we do, so for now, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait. Hopefully, Santa Claus will bring us this gift by Christmas.

The bad news is that the rest of the world outside the US will have to wait much longer for the drug to be approved here because I haven't seen the pharmaceutical company submit the results of its completed trials for review yet.

    Happy new year!

My estimate is 2027/2028. A 2029 estimate is likely too pessimistic given the FDA’s recent Breakthrough Therapy designation. The safety study is scheduled to conclude on December 31, 2026, making a market launch before early-to-mid 2027 highly unlikely.

Anyone else check out the post-hoc data Kil presented at the ARO meeting? I was very pleased to see the unexpected benefits with ARLH. Sounds like this is a 'disease-modifying' drug for general aging of the ear, not just for Meniere's.

Also interesting how they discovered improvement when paired with diuretics, but not betahistine, and how they saw improved hearing thresholds with the combination, but not speech discrimination.

Hi! What do you mean by ARLH benefits? Is it another pharmaceutical company with promising trials?

    Thanks

That was actually a typo and the post was outside the edit window by the time I noticed, so thanks for the opportunity to clarify: Meant to type 'ARHL' (age-related hearing loss), i.e, presbycusis.
