Walk walk walk........ The worse thing is to lay in bed all day. As Red said, get a walking stick if needed and Keep Moving---- the brain will adjust. In 2-4 weeks I predict you will be getting back to normal and will probably have left this forum for good as life will return to normal and you will be out living it.
Hi all, I just went to my appt with Dr. Rauch. As you said, he is very direct. My first big surprise was that he said I didn't have Meniere's but I had Labyrinthitus! But I don't have to try hard to identify on this site. He said my attacks were not violent enough to be MM. That's okay, I still feel sick. He also said that a laby wouldn't really help me because my dizziness was so low grade. He said that my balance is probably still a little screwed up from my sudden hearing loss 25 years ago. So his recommendation was PT for balance and if that does not work, then try drugs. So I will try PT first. I am glad I went, it was good to talk to him about all of it. He is a very nice man. Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes. I will give you updates on PT. XO Sally
that's great! you do not have MM. I have had labyrinthitis and it passes, did he say yours will clear up? and yes it definitely mimics MM but is not permanent.
Hi Vicki, Mine seems pretty permanent. I have had tinnitus, dizziness and total deafness in one ear for 25 years! That seems pretty permanent. But maybe this PT will help. XO
