So, I just got back from a post-op appointment with my neuro, and he prescribed betahistine. Anyone have any experience with it?

    Thanks,

I was on betahistine or Serc for about 10 years. It’s supposed to be a vasodilator and increase blood flow to the inner ear.

As to whether it helped or not, I don’t really know. I still had vertigo attacks that were brutal, but in between attacks Life was good. It may have been worse, ie more frequent attacks without the serc.

    I hope it helps you.

I have been using Serc for 3 years now. What is does for me is eliminating the feeling of a heavy head on the bad ear side. It never helped me with vertigo.
