this is the latest: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/bill-cosby-paid-women-ex-nbc-employee-article-1.2020464 EXCLUSIVE: Ex-NBC employee Frank Scotti claims Bill Cosby paid off women, invited young models to dressing room as he stood guard Veteran NBC employee Frank Scotti says he helped Bill Cosby deliver thousands of dollars to eight different women in 1989-90 - including Shawn Thompson, whose daughter Autumn Jackson claimed the actor was her dad. The ex-aide also tells the Daily News he stood guard whenever Cosby invited young models to his dressing room, which eventually led him to quitting after years on the job. Back when Bill Cosby was the king of network television, veteran NBC employee Frank Scotti served as the royal fixer. When Cosby invited young models into his Brooklyn dressing room, the megastar’s pal stood watch outside the door. When the married Cosby sought a Queens apartment for another pretty face, Scotti arranged the deal. And when the man behind Fat Albert needed cash disbursed to his flock of single female friends — hey, hey, hey — Scotti became the conduit for payments of up to $2,000 a month. “He had everybody fooled,” said Scotti in an exclusive interview with the Daily News. “Nobody suspected.” Scotti came forward last week with his insider’s look at Cosby’s womanizing ways during the magical 1984-92 run of “The Cosby Show.”
Its interesting though I have always noticed in the Cosby Show reruns when he would go to kiss his tv show wife Phylicia Rashad, she would usually back away from him or turn her head when he went to kiss her so he got her cheek. I always thought it was odd how she would be a bit stand offish when they were supposed to be such a loving couple on the show.
Scotti probably got paid well for his latest interview. Too bad he or the rest never came forward before instead of this big cover up. I'm tired of it already. Just a bunch of losers and liars that allowed it to continue.
I saw that. So many people involved allowed this to continue. If just one person spoke up, all the other victims would have been safe.
If Scotti got paid for the interview where he outed Cosby I don't have a problem with that. The man is now 90 years old. What on earth would he have to gain from getting caught up in a story about rape allegations? He was told to pay these women and he did, sometimes with money orders and he still has some of the receipts. Do you suppose he knew Cosby was raping these women or do you think he thought they had come to see Cosby for consensual sex and Scotti was only standing guard so they didn't get caught? I personally don't think he knew Cosby was a rapist, just a womanizer. The only liars and losers in this whole disgusting story is Cosby and his attorney. I don't think his accusers are lying and most of them have gone on to be successful women, so they certainly aren't losers. I doubt anyone who knew Cosby was raping these women, if anyone did, will ever come forward to tell that story because they would incriminate themselves. I agree with rrmehta. Some of them did come forward and were told they'd never be believed. Some were fearful they'd be ruined if they ever made accusations against Cosby. There's never going to be proof of what he did to these women and some people are never going to believe the accusations. The worst thing that can happen to him now, is happening. He's losing jobs and his reputation is in the toilet. He needs to be in prison.
Might not but he will live the rest of his life out like OJ, as an outcast. Most will have nothing to do with him professionally and personally.
Tired of hearing the news reporting on his BS when there are so many other things they could be focusing on. Like homeless people and hungry people and Veterans without jobs and injured and no one to help them. Oh please the list goes on and on.
it already has, he's lost all his jobs, endorsements, shows cancelled, money, people in his industry and out are shunning him. That's a jail sentence in other terms.
All of that is appropriate. However it took what 20 years for this to come out when so many were involved?? Both men and women. It's always the same unless it gets highly publicized.,the women are always to blame. It's very sad. I'm in a position where no one will believe a female taken advantage of and dare I say that equates to rape. She did everything right afterwards. Police, hospital, and guess what guys? It's her fault for putting herself in that position and the prosecute won't prosecute. In this case there were many women. I don't care how famous and revered he was at the time, you'd think a fewmofmthemmwould have come forward during the time this was going on. It seems that there were so many that their claims could not have gone disputed. Since he was famous at the time, it would have been prosecuted and he wouldn't have been allowed to continue hurting other women. So what if he's ostracized now? He's got enough money to live on. He's old. His wife stands by him. How much of a career did he have left anyway.
I'm not saying he got what he deserved, I am responding to your comment "He's in his 70's, nothing is going to come of it."
and I am glad it is all over the news as JustRose is. My feelings are the same as hers, its important that women are taken seriously when they report sexual abuse or rape no matter who it is. Maybe publicizing this will drive that point home for the future.
