Yes I have read that John, I posted it here years ago as I bought the study and thought I would share it. I disagree with your blanket assessment but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I agree more with Bulldogs post on the tread you posted.

Thank you Pixiechick, she's a solid white husky. My gorgeous baby.

How I feel about medical marijuana is documented here.

I'm not going to turn this thread into a debate.
I do, however, appreciate any and all input.

A debate will get this thread deleted and a good possibility for banning.

    Let's not, please.

I don't want to debate . I'll do my own research to find the answer to my question. :)

I'll answer the only way I know how.

I've seen MM people who who got prescriptions for benzos. I have myself.
You develop a tolerance and need more. After awhile you get a higher dosage. Now you're dependent upon them. If your dr decides you should stop taking them BUT you have to be weaned off slowly.
I've seen the immediate effects and you can definitely tell the person is taking some kind of drug.
In my experience, I can smoke and not have it be noticeable, so I've been told.

Of course you see a different side of it. It must take a little piece of your heart.

I have a heroin addict in my family. That's a lot worse but my point is I'm more adverse to prescriptions probably because of that but also because of the devastating effects of any drug abuse.

Weed is considered an illegal drug.
But it is a natural grown plant and is also considered a "natural remedy."

If you find anything at all useful to this topic I would appreciate you posting it as I'm sure everyone involved would like any information.

Damn, I miss Larry. This was his topic and the information he posted was without equal. He also wasn't afraid to add humor to the thread as well.

    This website answered my question

    http://www.leafscience.com/2014/09/04/medical-marijuana-vs-recreational-whats-difference/

I'm sorry about your family member who is a heroine addict, BumbleBea.

I wasn't asking about whether mj is better than prescription drugs. I wondered if the medical stuff was different from the street stuff and now I know. It is scary that people are self medicating with street mj if they live where it is illegal.

All I know is that my husband was having a morning with increased fullness, tinnitus, he knew it was going to be a day he would have a Meniere's attack. He felt terrible for like 5 hours and finally I suggested some marijuana vaporized and within 20 minutes he had his head off the couch and went outside on a walk with me, and was laughing for the first time in weeks.

    That's a great article pixie!
I didn't know some of that so I'm glad you gave us the link.
I'd like to see the whole thing posted here but I don't know how.

I'm putting together an informational package for a certified to prescribe dr for the card.
I'm very lucky to have a friend who goes to a dispensary.

I wouldn't get it off the street, ever.

Also, thank you for your compassion.

Do you guys that use weed medicinally live in states where it is legal? If not, how do you get it without getting in trouble? I'm in the dark about this stuff.

Can't speak for other members, but I live in a legal state, that
being Washington, however I've been a medical user since 2007, long
before it became legal for recreation use.

I've seen a number of posts that speak to potential issues with
marijuana use, but please keep in mind that those are generally
    rare cases.

I use an ounce, to ounce and a half monthly, and that's been
consistent for almost 10 years now. In that time I have suffered
-0- side effects, and I'm as sharp now as I ever was (which may
    be saying much..lol).

I prefer to raise my own, but have also bought off the street. By that
    I mean I've gone to trusted sources..not just some schmuck I don't
even know. I've also bought from the legal retail outlets, but the price
is about double what I would pay from a friend, and about 10x more than
it costs me to raise my own.

The largest benefit, for me, is I don't have vertigo attacks. I DO still
have the occasional dizzy spell and a momentary feeling that the floor
dropped away, but no vertigo. I am also bi-lateral, having

I've also got screaming tinnitus in both ears, and the bud helps me
to be able to watch a TV show, or concentrate on something else
besides the riot going on in my head. Doesn't make it any quieter,
but it does help me to ignore it.

    Is it for everyone....no.

I don't do the debate thing, but I'm happy to answer questions
and will try to help others any way I can.

    Correction:

...which may NOT be saying much.

I've no idea why there's no "edit" feature here, but it would
    sure make life easier.

    Sorry Bea... :(

Unreal. Most states list it as "intractable nausea and vomiting", a stand
alone description. Meniere's with it's vertigo attacks certainly should qualify
in ANY state, especially since there isn't a reliable "anti-vertigo" medication.

The best strain so far is Platinum Kush. It has pulled me out of an attack quicker than anything I've tried in 15 years IF you catch it in time. Otherwise it definitely shortens the length of time and does wonders for nausea and anxiety.

Maybe I need to try this. I'm in Georgia so it's not legal and I'm clueless as to how to even find it. 42 years old and never done it.

Am I supposed to know who Larry is???
