This thread was very popular on the old site. It was a good place to just sit and chat, vent or rave about your daily activities, or just get to know each other in an informal venue. I hope many will participate. I'd like to get to know you all. :)

So, I'll start. I have dark hair and my greys are coming in, sighs. With a wedding coming in November, I've been going back and forth with what to do with it. Dying a women's hair requires regular maintenance, and I'm not up to that.
I'm thinking about laying it without taking away from the length and having it streaked.
    Any thoughts?

I would let it go just as it is, you have a beautiful helmet, besides no telling what will happen at that wedding, I would be more worried about my dress than the hair.

The dress is beautiful! Thank you for the compliment!! A crotchless body shaper will keep it all together. I'm ready for anything! ;)

Keep it on, funny things happen at Weddings.

  6. I love your hair and I'm sure hubby will love you in that body shaper.

You are and will be even more beautiful that day.

Half up, half down. It's so long now she's almost sitting on it. It will be beautiful. Strapless dress for her too and the shoes are fit for a princess!

    A day to remember forever.

The only recollection I have of my wedding night is waking up with 2 kids in my bed and mommy saying "Daddy will take you down for breakfast". Then again, what should I have expected, I was 43 years old, we had been dating for 16 years, 2 kids and decided to do a family honeymoon and take the kids to Disney World.

Congrats to your daughter, I am sure both you and her will look just beautiful!

LOL! Daughter is in the bridal party! Youngest son is getting married. Still a very, very special day for us. And yes my daughter will be beautiful, too. The bride will shine. We are very happy with her.
Their honeymoon will be a wonderful memory for them, they have a private cottage with butler service. We paid for that. Bridal party is gifting them with 3 excursions. The costs are adding up!
Can't even begin to imagine what our daughters will be like!!
I did finally choose the song for our dance. It is, My Wish by Rascal Flatts. I wanted something that would speak to their future as well as our relationship. I think it's apt.

Am I still scheduled as the guest and motivational speaker? I can give a great toast to that young man.

You want to be invited?? I'll send one out to you. You can even take care of some business while you're here! ;)
Seriously, we've reserved a whole floor of a hotel, since many of her family and a few of ours are out of state.

LMAO! Too true, but his fists would probably follow the glass and we can't have that, pretty boy!!

The only fighting at this wedding will be if Ex DIL shows up. If I have been drinking that day she's in for it. The day starts with a rented hairdresser salon and Mimosas so I think I'll be ready!!
We could really rock that dance floor though. I may need another shower! LOL

Can hubby slow dance or is he more of a John Trivolta disco type mover? For some reason I picture him like John Trivolta in Saturday NightFever or Grease.

Mimosas and the DIL, what away to kick off a wedding day. I have a taser gun if you need it?

I know it will go great and you and daughter will knock'em dead in those little black dresses.

    Are you wearing Stilletto's?

Hubby is a slow dancer until after he's had a couple Godfathers. You ever had one of them? Knocks you on your ass!

I have some wicked pepper spray, so adores daughter, but I have a great left hook. I really do. Grew up in a rough neighborhood.

The little black dresses are for the shower. She got stilettos because she can walk in them. I got black heels.

DIL is so sweet.,she's a Beautician. Studied at Capri. So, she has the whole basement of the salon for us. Bad thing, gotta be there by 7 or 8 a.m. I may as well stay up all night! LOL

Both days are going to be great! Got lots of sex toy surprises for our guest of honor. Going to be a blast!!

    Nice,

Mommy carries pepper spray that she got from a Park Ranger, it could stop a grizzly bear. If you use the left hook alway follow it up with a right uppercut.

I hear ya about the 7-8 am hair appt. maybe get to bed early that night, going to be a long day, get that beauty sleep.

Feed hubby the Godfathers early so he is ready for that first Rascal Flats song. Those Godfathers probably turn him into quite the ladies man.

    Is he wearing a tuxedo?

My first song with my wife was Sir Mix A Lot ---baby got back.

    Yes, tux

    Great song for you guys.

Initially we got the pepper spray for daughter on the college campus. No real problems there but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

I'm doing our side of the family's invite and I took ex DIL and her family off the list. No more problems!

Don't need the uppercut. We "girls" grab hair, boobs and scratch like crazy. I got real nails and they can do some real damage! LOL!

I don't remember our song but I know it was The Stylistics. It was a long time ago!!
