My hubby and I had a carry in wedding. His mother didn't want him to marry me and she disliked me until ten years into our marriage. So we got married and didn't wait for family. We were married Nov 11, 1994. We had our first child Dec 15th 1995. We didn't have any dancing and years later my husbands best man tried to seduce me LOL. My song for hubby and I is At Last by Ella Fitzgerald and His for us is I will be There. My husband was the best choice I have ever made. LOL Not sure if I am rambling to much but all these posts brought back memories
Memories are good! This is for Casual Conversation so anything goes, girlfriend. I'm glad your MIL finally woke up and smelled the roses!! You know some weddings nowadays are huge lavish affairs. This isn't, but family will be coming in from all over the place. My MIL offered my hubby $2,500.00 NOT to get married.,she said it was nothing about me, just that we were too young. We got married in 1977 and first child in 1979. Turned out that my MIL became my surrogate mother and more a mother than my own. Of course it took me years to realize that being a mother or father I'd not always about blood, it's more about the love.
I am struggling tonight one of the kids in my Sunday School class died last night he was only 12 my heart aches for his parents.

I am planning a 50th surprise party for my geek hubby. Its at a little hole in the wall local dinner we both love. Anyone have any games we can play for kicks at a table. I was thinking about making a jar of legos and have people guess for a gag gift I got. I am also asking people to write there favorite story of my husband in a card for him. I was wanting one more. Gag gifts I have so far is an extrernal floppy disk drive still in the package.
